EMERGING FASHION: OPEN CALL FOR EMERGING DESIGNERS FROM SINGER 22

inger22, the global online and brick-and-mortar fashion retailer with a solid edit of brands including J.Brand, Rag & Bone and Elizabeth & James has announced their open call for both US-based and international emerging designer labels. They are looking for the new and the next in the following categories: women’s apparel, accessories, shoes and jewelry.

Here’s how it works: 

Designers must enter at Singer22 by June 9, and include the following information:

  • Contact information
  • Description of the product line
  • Look book
  • Images
  • Line sheet
  • Anything else Singer22 should know

After review, a select group of designers that fit the Singer22 brand aesthetic and show the ability to produce goods will be invited to showcase their products at the New Designer Day event on Wednesday, June 19 from 10am to 5pm. Designers will also have the opportunity to pitch their designs to a panel of judges, including CEO and Founder Jon Singer.

Façon Magazine launches Shop Love DC 2013 : Indie Market Week to support the fashion industry, local independent creative entrepreneurs and independent retailers in Washington, DC.  Shop Love DC: Indie Market Week is an annual event encompassing of a series of weeklong events to reconnect the local fashion industry and to stimulate the local creative economy.

Shop Love DC 2013 will take place on September 18 – 22, 2013 in DC, MD, and VA. Events will include networking mixers, a retail night out, an indie pop-up shop, an emerging designers showcase, and a fashion conference.

This week seeks to foster an environment to encourage the DC creative community and local consumers to come together to start a meaningful dialogue, to bond, to support local businesses, and to honor the amazing creative industries that add a great deal of value and revenue to DC’s creative economy.
